I got a used Fire HD 7" 3rd Gen today, model P48WVB4.
All of the OS versions I see people using around this forum are like 4.x.x etc, but my version in the Settings says "11.3.2.4_user_324002520"
Can somebody explain to me why these formats are so different, and how to proceed with rooting and installing a custom recovery? I bought this device on a whim because it was very affordable, but I really want to be able to run CM or another custom ROM on this device.
Any suggestions on how to proceed, or any other advice, will be GREATLY appreciated.
