KitKat Camera better than Lollipop?

I know this is an old topic, but i just re-flashed KitKat .ftf file today (C6903_14.6.A.0.368_TW.ftf, because i lost root along the custom ROM-flashing madness :D), and i noticed that the Camera on the KitKat firmware is so much smoother and faster than on stock Lollipop, and so much much better the custom 6.0 ROMs for that matter (albeit they suffer from a known Camera problem). Now that i'm flashing back to stock 5.1.1, does anyone know how to optimize the camera app? It just seems a little unfair that the camera on 4.4.4 gives you such a better experience than the one on 5.1.1.

P.S: I have unlocked the bootloader, but the Kitkat Camera app is unaffected.
