Phone info: Moto G (2013) 8GB
OS: Android 5.1 (Lollipop?)
Recently, my phone had been acting up, so I decided to do a factory reset. It was long overdue anyways, because I needed to free up space.
After the first reset, I was getting a notification saying "Not enough storage space for system, please make sure you have at least 250mb of free space and restart".
I'm only confused because after the factory reset, I have >5Gb of space available (the rest is being taken up by the OS). I have tried resetting it again, wiping the cache partition, and a few other things and I haven't solved the issue. Right now, I can't use some of my phones stock features, can't sync contacts from Email, install applications from the Google play store, and most of the google apps crash moments after opening. Something is seriously wrong with the phone and I really need to get it fixed.
I'm not sure if I can root it because last I was told, Motorola locks their kernel and bootloader or whatever, so you cant put any custom ROMs on it. I'm sorta new to the whole rooting thing, so I really don't understand it.
Thanks in advance!
