So this is a really weird issue that I've never seen before.
I was running stock 6.0.1 (latest version) and my phone crashed and rebooted, but it just froze at a black screen.
I can boot into fastboot, but I can't get into recovery or Android. It just freezes at a black screen.
Naturally, the first thing I did was try just flashing the latest stock image from Google. It flashes fine and everything says it's okay, but when the phone boots it shows the Google logo, then just goes to a black screen and sits there forever.
I can't get into recovery at all (stock). I tried flashing TWRP which I also cannot load after a successful flash.
Has anyone ever seen anything like this? I'm thinking it may be a hardware issue at this point, as I can flash and run fastboot commands just fine--nothing else ever loads though.
