[Unbrick][Stock] Yoga Tab 3 - How to unbrick, and restore to stock.

I work at a shop and someone brought me a Yoga Tab 3 8" tablet that was on a screen that asked for an original google account.

It was purchased without much thought because i figured it was just part of the setup.

No this is actually a Device Protection feature google has had since Lollipop apparently.

There is a way around it if anyone is interested or is in a soft brick that they can access the recovery from.

THIS IS FOR THE YOGA TAB 3 8" YT3-850F ONLY!!!!! I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOU DESTROY YOUR TABLET! PLEASE BE CAREFUL. DO NOT FLASH ANYTHING FOR WRONG MODEL. CONFIRM YOUR MODEL NUMBER BY LOOKING ON THE BACK STICKER BEFORE PROCEEDING.

You will need :

A Computer

A Micro SD Card and Adapter

A couple of hours time

Patience...

Patience........

Firstly, as always, make sure the device is charged before attempting any of this please.

Download the stock firmware from This Link.

Do not extract the firmware at all or rename it, just leave it as it is, it will take about an hour to download.

After you have the firmware downloaded move the zip file to the root of the MicroSD Card on the computer.

Eject the SDCard from the computer and put it into the Yoga Tab.

Reboot into recovery by pressing Power and Vol+ let go of Power when you see the Lenovo logo.

Once in recovery go ahead and do a factory reset/data wipe.

The next step is to actually flash the zip you put on the MicroSD earlier. You go down to apply update from SD using the Volume + and -
buttons. Power to select an option. Select the Zip you downloaded from this guide.

it will take approximately 20-30 minutes to fully install the update. after it installs it will boot up like new again, with no Google Device Protection, and it is a possible way to unbrick!

Rooted, but no rooted apps work

Hello,

I recently used the toolkit to unlock and root my Sprint N6. Super user was installed and works. I installed Rootcheck after everything was complete and it verifies that the phone is rooted. I have installed Nexus 6 double tap to wake and LED control and both state that the phone is not rooted. Super user shows both those apps have super user access.

What am I missing? Thank you!!

[CM13]MobileIron root detect

Hi,

I am running CM13 snapshot on bacon. Root is disabled but MobileIron detects it and refuses to install secure app manager.
Is there a way to sandbox it in any way or some other workaround? Tried Xposed Rootcloak but it doesn't help.

Sim unlocked or not

I keep reading everywhere that i can put my att sim in this thing and it will work. Unfortunately i dont have a active att simm. All the ones i put in say sim is from u known source. No biggy. Seen that before. But my prob is no signal. I goto net selection and i see verizon and att but it wont let me register on the network. Im assuming this is due to the inactive sim i have. Looking for good transparent plastic case

Getting a 5x this weekend. Past experience with TPU cases havent been that great as they get grimy from oils and finger prints. I'm looking for a clear hard plastic case.

Is disabling apps will save the battery which equal to deleting apps after rooting?

phone reboot after zooming video

hi, i just got my new galaxy note edge and wanted to test the video zooming in mx player. i zoomed to 200% plus, an then wanted to return to 100%. i got too far till 70%. when i wanted to go back the video freezes at 99% of zooming and the phone just got rebooted. every time the same thing. tested on several videos and may phone always reboots.

Phone unencrypted and forcing me to use a password

Hi all,

I have a CAT S30, when I set up my Exchange email it forced me to use a password on the device.

After looking through the security settings I can see the device is not encrypted. If I encrypt the device will it allow me to remove the password on the device (I need to enter it every time I unlock the screen and it's bugging me).

If I turn on the encryption will I be able to turn off the forced screen lock security that's currently in place?

Flash RUU - signature checking... FAILED (remote: 12 signature failed)

I tried to flash a RUU on my m8 but i am not successful currently.

Connect usb to pc, get malicious file?

Hello :) so i have been googling about it but no info on my specific question.

About the safety of transfering files to/from PC. Where there's a possibility of android get malicious file unknowingly from PC. Where you cant fully sure if the PC is free from malicious file.

I read that some ways to prevent that is. Turn off usb debugging.

Is there still a way of the android to get affected? Also is there any more method to be safer?

How To Monetize Your App Using In-App Surveys

Mobile monetization is one of the key issues app developers face in today's mobile world. As apps' visibility become more and more hard, developers are looking for new effective ways to monetize their apps through different monetization strategies.

One of the most widely used strategies is monetization through ads and as Steve Jobs said once, "Mobile Ads suck". Unfortunately this is widely accepted by big brands as true. Different ad platforms are suggesting several units such as banner ads, interstitials, video ads, offer walls and others. Developers are usually confused on what ad units to use or from which ad platform, but what they really care at the end of the day is to make money out of their app without loosing their users by compromising user experience.

As seen in a survey of 5,000 mobile users by Pollfish, people are generally annoyed by the current different ad formats that overwhelm an apps' user interface, sometimes placed in a way to force users to click on them. Most of current ad units engage user with the ad taking him away from the app rather than keeping him engaged with the content of the app.

The market would be served well by a new interactive monetization format that can revolutionise the way mobile developers make money out of apps at the moment and introduce something more appealing for both developers and app users.

Introducing monetization with surveys

Monetization with surveys is one of the new innovations in the mobile app monetization landscape.

How does it work?



At Pollfish we provide a DIY survey tool on our website that anyone can quickly sign up for, select an audience, create survey questions, pay and then start receiving results from the network in real time. The platform distributes these surveys to thousands of mobile apps that have integrated surveys as a monetization solution. App publishers are paid for each survey completed in their apps.



How does it look?

When a survey is available, the user is prompted by an in-app indicator to see if they would like to take part to a survey – and are rewarded for doing so by being entered into a drawing for a prize. Gifts are provided by the platform and are usually gift cards. Users can choose not to participate, or close the survey at anytime. In either case, everything will disappear from their screen, and they return to their in-app experience.

It's not like boring ads made for the masses, where clicking takes you to another website or to download another app. Some surveys are more fun and engaging, particularly when the user can see their responses as compared to others – this increases the completion rate, and likewise, the app publisher's revenue.

• Users participate in drawings and can win gifts

Users who participate in surveys have the opportunity to win gifts in drawings – simply bysharing their opinion.

For publishers:

• Users stay within the app

Users never leave the app. Once a survey is completed, users continue with the current flow of the app interface. This is perhaps, the biggest differentiator with classic advertising, where users who click on an ad are taken to a website or get redirected to download another app – with no guarantee they come back. This way publishers loose customers.

• Surveys pay up to 20x more than classic advertising networks

Publishers are paid per completed survey. It's a CPA model where the action is a survey completion. Payouts for surveys are quite high and at Pollfish for example, surveys pay up to 20x more than classic advertising networks.

• Publishers have to change nothing in the UI of their app

With surveys, everything is rendered as an overlay so publishers don't have to change anything in the UI of the app. With most advertising solutions, a space in the UI of the apps needs to be allocated by publishers in order to render the ad units (for example with banner ads). However with surveys, since everything is displayed as an overlay, no changes are needed. Integration therefore becomes simple and takes less than 2 minutes since it requires only one line of code to activate surveys.

• When a survey is completed UI stays clear of ads/surveys

Users are eligible for one survey per day in order to ensure quality of the results and user experience. Therefore, once a survey is completed everything disappears from the UI of the app and user can continue with the flow of the app free of any ads or surveys. Moreover, when no survey is available nothing is shown within the app, as surveys were never integrated in the app before.

I used to have a Custom Stock ROM running on the Z2 before upgrading to CM12.1 how ever I set up the stock with the apps well over a year ago so cannot seem to remember how I had put the apps accross.


Now I'm running CM12.1 I'm not sure if I need to use the Apps from the Z3/Z5 etc as they're based on the newest OS.


I wanted to try get the sony album,network connect tools ,and sound/media apps.

I've tried restoring the Album app as a test with TitaniumB but no luck.

Trouble restoring EFS nandroid backup with TWRP 3.0.0.0

Hi

After doing a nandroid backup with TWRP 3.0.0.0 for all partitions including EFS when trying to restore after booting up my device it I get an "invalid IMEI" error.
Looking inside the EFS folder I can see that most files are missing and only a default nv_data.bin has been created.
Is there another method to mount the efs.mtd.win file and copy his contents?
Or perhaps another method to restore it or at least understand why it's not restoring properly?

I have a KGL unit, and my volum knob wnt wrong. Volume down is OK, but Volume up is softening the volume 90% of the cases.

Anybody has idea how can i fix the knob, or order a replacement?

[GT-i9500] BOOTLOOP!

This is my first post here and I'd really appreciate advice in this matter.

I've spent the past couple of hours searching for an answer but nothing works or totally irrelevant results.
I have a problem where I'd rooted my phone with KingRoot, changed it to SuperSU successfully (restarted my phone several times since then and no issues)
I installed TWRP (only the app) from the Google Play store and that's as far as I got before I powered off my phone to cool down before attempting any installation of TWRP. Powered on my phone and I can't get past the Samsung logo.
Recovery won't come up, Download mode works but restarts itself and volume buttons do nothing to let me confirm download mode and so it's sending me in a loop. Samsung logo and restart again and again. I insert my battery and the first thing that happens is my phone goes on a mission, determined to power itself on only to Bootloop.
No, before anyone suggests it be a hardware issue, it's a brand new phone. There's nothing wrong with the buttons.
If anyone is going to point out the obvious in saying that I'm responsible for rooting my device, I'm aware of this. The rooting procedure was a one-click method which was successful and caused no boot issues after restarting the phone countless times.
Basically:
Bootloop
Can't access recovery
Can't get to Download mode without it getting back into the bootloop after 5 seconds or so. Volume buttons do nothing to confirm download mode.
USB debugging wasn't enabled before this Bootloop occurred
Do I have a paperweight or is there a way to salvage something from this?

When I turned on the machine it was stuck on the Asus Logo. So I turned off the machine and turned it back on and same thing. Did the vol - + power button. Got into the recovery mode with the 3 icon (recovery,usb,wipe). I click on the recovery got up toward the Team Logo then it got stuck. I turned of the machine tried it again same thing. When I connected the device to the PC it told me APX . I again whent into the 3 icons and selected the usb icon the tablet froze , I though might be due to the driver, I did a search online how to browse for the driver and installed the driver (Andriod ADB Interface)

But I'm unable to see it as fastboot. Now when I disconnected the device. I turned on the device again , now this time it shows the Asus logo with a blue bard bellow it then it loads all the way then black screen. I have no clue what else to do if someone can help me with this would I be very grateful

I have loaded many faces on my phone, but still when reading the descriptions, they are mostly for all other watches and 'compatible' with the Huawei Watch (duh). But, I notice that most, 99% have lower resolution than the pre-loaded Huawei faces. So I ask, if you know any site that has faces made for the Huawei watch (high resolution) please share here for the benefit of all.

Note 4 keeps freezing and restarting

Hi guys, hope someone can help.
I've had my note 4 just over a year now and not had any problems at all. I've always had notes 1 2 and 3 and now 4.
Never bothered rooting the note 4.
So..... out the blue my phone starts restarting and freezing regular. I'm talking 15-20 times per day.
Got no idea why but got so frustrated that I restored phone back to factory settings and it's still doing it.
Anyone know why this might be.
I'm 90% sure it's not memory as I have a 64gig memory card in it. And don't actually have many apps downloaded.
I've cleared all cache as well via apps and also via the volume up power and home key method.
Please tell me someone knows what the problem is here as I did searches on Internet and many are having the samended problem.

For those of you that Bluetooth your phone to your car

I think I have found a bug in Android 6.0.1 on my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.

Put all four volume bars (Ringtone, Media, Notifications, System) at full.

Connect your phone to your car via. Bluetooth.

Put some music on (any app will do, they should all work the same).

Make sure all four volume bars are still full.

Open Google Maps and make the voice say something.

On my phone, the Media volume (that controls both music and voice notifications) turns down to around 50/60% every time s/he speaks.

It's very annoying!

Is there a fix for GPS/Compass issues?

I tried many different apps to calibrate the compass on 5x. They calibrate the phone for a moment but then when I open maps I start to move with the phone the pointer keeps on slowly rotating clockwise showing wrong direction I'm facing. Can this be fixed by some software somehow or is this a hardware issue? What should I do to fix this?

Phone restarted and gogole account delinked

My S3 restarted :( while launching Whatsapp, after which the google account is not linked in my phone. Due to this I don't have any contacts. My phone crashed and gets slow many times usually, but its first time that the account got delinked. Is this serious. I plan on updating to the latest build today itself. I'm using a two months old build.
What can be done to fix this apart from getting a new phone?

Unable to flash rom after failed update on Kies

Hey guys I am was going from rooted 4.4 to 5.1.1 and running the dynamic kat rom...I downgraded to stock 4.4 and attempted to update through Kies...well the update hung at 87% for a long time and eventually failed, I got the "system encounted a firmware issue " error and was unable to restart...Kies will not recognize my note no matter how many times I flash the drivers and Odin always fails no matter the version I try to flash...Even SmartSwitch says "device failed to recognize", and I cannot flash twrp either (I even tried flashing PIT files which failed as well) (I still get a "comm4" connection in odin)

Using Gear VR to play non-VR Android games.

Okay, so I've done a fair amount of looking around and since I was unable to come up with any information on how to do this, it's likely not possible. First thing, I admit I have yet to receive my promotional Gear VR from purchasing a Galaxy S7 Edge on a pre-order. I have just been trying to figure out what the VR is capable of doing. In particular I've been trying to figure out if it was possible to play games like Walking War Robots or Modern Combat 5 with the Gear VR. Had anybody had any luck with playing any NON-VR games with their Gear VR? I understand that it would be quite unlikely to have the software render these games in true 3D, but I'm more-or-less trying to find a way to play a standard game in a split screen view so it just looks like a large screen in front of my face. I don't think it would be too hard to take the original video output of a game and double it up in split screen for it to be used like this, but I'm no programmer, and wouldn't know where to begin. I would use my phone with an MHL adapter but I've been told it isn't compatible, but that's for another forum topic. If anyone has any info on any of this I'd appreciate it if you could get back to me. If this hasn't been done yet, but is possible, some developer could potentially make a lot of money making an app that would split the video output of a standard game. Fast Charging issue.

Hi. I had my Note 4 for about 1 week now. At first fast charging was fine. After 1 week i started to have this problem that goes like this.

I would plug the phone to the charger then a notification turns up to say fast charging is enabled. Then it would stop charging after 3 seconds, then charge again, then stop after 3 seconds. Happens for about 5 times after plugging in the charger. After that, charging is fine.

Do you guys experience the same? What do I do? Will it break the phone? What could be the problem? Thanks guys.

This product comes in a nice size to start with. While I have used a anker power bank the is slightly nicer I did enjoy this one even though it has a bigger size mainly because it comes with two input methods to be charged so either you are a Iphone user or android user just know you aren't left in the dark anymore (hurray???)[emoji14]
Let's get into the included goodies.. The included usb cable isnt my favorite slice of apple pie but I'll take it since the usage of most power banks is meant to be portable and close to the bank itself. I'm personally a huge fan of 6ft+ usb cables hint hint....

The phone packaging included always a warranty card and instructions that u should definitely read for safety and technical reasons!

CAN SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME! (Factory Reset LG L21G ISSUES!)

ok guys im new here, im also new to the android communuty as well lol

that being said, i have a phone i found that is a LG L21G Tracphone.... and i just want to reset everything to get it working so i can give it to my daughter.... only issue is, when i do the power volume down button sequence, its saying factory restore is disabled by killswitch....
so.... i found a way around this.... i think lol this is where i need yalls help because im so lost!


i downloaded this tool called android multi tool to attempt to wipe all the stuff off the phone using my pc and a usb cable..... only thing is, for some reason the phone isnt being detected by the tool... its saying error device not found....

after about 3 days of googling drivers and uninstalling and reinstalling drivers.... i give up hahahaha

Android update path for phone once supplied by a Carrier

Hi all,

What is the mechanism that Android uses to update phones?
In case it is Manufacturer specific, both my phones are Sony.

However my new M5 does not yet have a custom recovery so it is not as easy as my previous phone to just load a fully built OS.

My undertstanding of the general path is:
1) Android release an update
2) Manu customises that
3) Network operator customises that again and maybe adds bloatware

If you CHANGE networks, does that break your update path, or do you continue to get updates, but from the original network who provided you the locked phone, which is now unlocked?

Honest review of Le 1s after 3 months of use

Hello Folks,
I wanted to share a review of my #Superphone LeEco Le 1s, so I waited for months before judging this phone. Here is my review after 3 months of usage.

1. Design
The phone has a full metal body which feels great in hands. Also, it has thin bezels on the side which are almost non-existent. The phone has been well-crafted and no other phone feels this unbelievably premium at this price point. No other phones in this price segment looks as beautiful as Le 1s.


2. Display
The first thing you'd notice after its metal design is its display. It has an 1080P Full HD screen, which is just brilliant. The images are crisp with a high colour contrast and saturation. It feels great to watch media.


3. Fingerprint Sensor
There is a mirror finished fingerprint sensor on the back of the 1s, right above their branding. Its accuracy is really good and its placement is just perfect. The index finger naturally rests there no matter which hand you use it from and the device is automatically unlocked.


4. 4K Recording
One neat feature hidden is that the phone capable of recording 4K videos. It can be enabled by going into the camera settings while inside the camera. Frankly it is not the best 4K camera out there, but it gets the job done. Most of the phone cameras out there which record 4K cost about INR 50,000. Also, it is a clever addition to the phone because they sell 4K TVs in China on which these videos can be consumed. They intend to bring these TVs to India soon!

5. Fast Charging
The LeEco Le 1s supports USB Type-C port at the bottom and it has a 3,000mAh battery which is pretty average for everyday usage. It lasts half a day with heavy usage and lasts full day if you are not a heavy user. It comes with support for fast charging. My device is taking 1 hour 20 minutes to get fully charged.


6. IR Blaster
On the top right on the phone, there is a small IR blaster placed and the phone can be used as a remote with a dedicated app which is preinstalled in the device. This app can be used to control many home appliances like TVs, AC, etc. Also, they let you make your own remote with custom IR functions.


7. Dual SIM
LeEco 1s comes with dual SIM support, something that is common with most of the phones these days. They can be accessed using a SIM eject tool and has support for one Micro SIM and one Nano SIM. The best part of the dual SIM is that both the SIMs support 4K at the same time!


8. Price
Last but not least, the final reason to get this beautiful handset is its price. The Le 1s is priced at INR 10,999/- which is tad lower when compared to phones with similar features. The LeEco company has claimed that they are selling this phone with a loss i.e. for less than bill of materials.

Off topic but very cool!

OK guys, I know this is really off topic but I can't help myself on this one. This is way too cool to keep to myself!

I am actually dictating everything you say with Windows 7 speech recognition enabled. I don't have to type anything at all and can simply tell the computer where I would like to appear in this document. I can also navigate all over windows and control things, like opening a program, using the menus, inserting pictures, etc.. I'm having pain in my fingertips, it actually is painful for me to type. My Dr. says it is a pinched nerve. You all know how much I like to post really big messages. But when you are experiencing pain in your fingers like I am, then I need a different way to type. I was using online be taken in chrome browser, but that was awkward, this speech recognition was not very good, was very simple, and then I would have to copy and paste anyway.

I was really looking for something better such as dragon naturally speaking software, but that cost money and I really don't have money at this time. So what the hack, I decided to search pool for "free windows dictation software" and I found the best link you could ever find. This one:

Turn on dictation for all programs

This link will show you how to enable can use speech recognition in windows 7. I was utterly blown away when I tried this myself. Not only does Windows 7 have accurate dictation software, it can also control the entire computer! I just finished a tutorial and I got a LOT out of it, but this dictation can do everything and it really works. So I am going to practice with this for the next few days and get better at it. Dictation is a lot faster than typing if you are not good at typing or have a painful condition. I am not kidding, this is the same thing you get with pain software like they were with Dragon Naturally Speaking. See for yourself! Good night my friends! :D

P.S. When you enable the speech recognition there is a tutorial that you can't take. You need about 15 minutes to do this, and you will speak your way through it. The tutorial is very powerful and is going to show you more things than you could possibly remember. But that is all right, the tutorial will also show you, how to control your computer with only a microphone and by telling you what to do . And how to pull up some fast help and a command list for reference. So by all means, please take the time and do the tutorial at least once.

Galaxy S7 specs?

Hello all. I bought an S7 at Verizon. I have been to eight or ten sites that gave me eight or ten answers. Octa-core Exynos, 820 Snapdragon...... THEN i decide to use Everest, a program to tell me all about my hardware. It says four chores, but with speeds from 300mhz to 1.6 ghz.

Okay i have the snapdragon, that's cool, but it's suppose to have two 1.6ghz cores, and two 2.1ghz cores! I just have a feeling that I've been screwed here.

It's not that the phone runs crappy or anything, but I'd really like to know ebay I've paid for. Does that make sense to anyone?

Problems with Doogee dg310

Sorry this is my 3rd attempt to get a message out there for help so excuse if my other 2 have gone somewhere else and I am repeating myself. I have a Doogee dg310 Voyager and recently some of my contacts have been duplicated in my contacts list (not of my doing) but more worrying is that contacts are disappearing overnight (again not by me) from my phone. I have no message to say the SIM is full which I have had with my Samsung in the past. Both my wife and some friends have the same phone and are not experiencing the same problem but then I am using a dual SIM, one here in Spain and the other is from a UK company (Orange/EE). Digimobil is the SIM I use the most and it's this one that where the contacts are being removed from. Digi say it's not the SIM but the phone that is at fault. Can anyone help please?

Battery drain in Alarm (screen on)

Hi,
I really like the alarm/clock app on the Nexus 6. I don't use snooze but i set up like 10+ alarms for waking up in the morning. Sometimes I cannot wake up and the alarm just stays ringing after every 10 minutes. Today, I woke up late meaning alarms kept ringing for long with screen on obviously. Then, I noticed that my battery had gone from 100 to about 61 when I was in office and battery stats showed about 1 plus hour of Screen on time which was weird because i didnt use the phone that much then I realised it might have been the alarm. But 40% battery drain is too much. Any suggestions on this? Maybe how to keep screen off when alarm is ringing?

Best browser for S7

Hi, I have just purchased S7 few days ago. I'm satisfied with the device and still getting used to it. Currently, I'm also using iPhone 6S.

I still haven't found the right browser for me. I really like Safari on my iPhone, that can sync all my password and bookmark to Safari on Mac and iPad. Reading list, reader mode, and adblock are also awesome. Is there any browser on Android that come close with this functionality?

Also, does Chrome and Firefox also sync your passwors to Desktop browser? And how do you open tab in background in Samsung Internet Browser?

So I was trying to download TWRP recovery and I did everything on my phone (Galaxy s5 Canadian Version) when I finished my phone booted into the soft brick Odin mode. the message on the screen reads.

Notification sound disappear using android wear

After a while, I've understood when my phone loses notifications sound.
If I'm listening musing with headphones (lg brand in my case), start a call using a voice command to my watch (Lg gwatch R), when I unplug the headphones I've no notification sound, only vibe. No problem with call ringtone.
I've tried to mute and unmute, change notification sound ecc ecc.
The only solution seems to be rebooting the phone.

Any idea?

[GUIDE]Changing Mac Address of Moto G 2014

Guys I am posting A guide to change the MAC address of MOTO G 2014.... This Method is tested by me on XT1068 on CM 13 and will hopefully work with all variants and ROMS...

*DISCLAIMER*
I am not responsible for bricked devices and other phone related problems(which shouldn't happen if you follow the guide properly)....
please refrain from using this guide for anny illegal purposes....Changing mac is not illegal...but if you use it to screw anybody,it will be illegal.
*DISCLAIMER*

REQUIREMENTS-

1. a rooted phone
2. a file explorer with root exploring capabilities (ES ,Root explorer,etc....)


STEPS-

1.first use your file explorer and grant root permissions to it....

2. navigate to /system/etc/firmare/wlan/prima/
and locate a file called WCNSS_qcom_cfg.ini

3.Open the file and find the section as
Intf0MacAddress=xxxxxxxxxxxx
Intf1MacAddress=xxxxxxxxxxxx
Intf2MacAddress=xxxxxxxxxxxx

Intf3MacAddress=xxxxxxxxxxxx

where xxxxxxxxxxxx will be some mac addresses from which Intf3MacAddress will be your current MAC address...

Copy this xxxxxxxxxxxx value and save this someplace if you want to restore your mac address later....

Rules for Writing MAC...

a. Should only be 12 digits long
b. Use only numbers from 0-9 and alphabets from A-F

4.Now just change all these xxxxxxxxxxxx values to your required mac address...For example,I change it to 000A0000000F...

5.Now just save the file and Reboot

6.After Reboot you can check the changed MAC in settings->Wi-Fi->Advanced and scroll to last portion....

This Mac change will be persistent and will not change after reboots....You can restore your old mac by typing it in place of modified addresses...

Choppy, Slow, Distorted Nexus 6 audio issue

I don't know how to describe this audio issue. It seems to be rare, it does it for some games not others and does it with my Bluetooth headphones in some games and not others. Need TWRP

I am trying to update my TWRP so that I can take new updates for Cyanogenmod 13.0. Currently I cannot even boot into recovery, and my attempts at ADB flashing TWRP is not working. Phone currently has S-on, no clue Why-TF that is the case, but it is. I believe I need to get it to S-off again, any idea on how to do that? I have Sunshine installed, but wont run because "Phone is not close enough to stock". Any help would be great!

M9 failed update = lots of trouble....

Hello and thanks for taking a look at my issue,

So a failed update to the firmware from 5.0.2 to 6.0 led to all kinds of frustration these last few days.
Currently download mode reads:

then the security warning and then SD NOT Mounted

At one point I was able to get into OEM Android Recovery which enabled me to get TWRP back on and restore a virgin 5.0.2 system.img on but it kept rebooting every time a call came in or went out text seemed to work fine though but then the phone would reboot about every 3-5 min. I gave a shot at an upgrade to 2.11.502.18 ruu.exe via parallels and Win7 it failed but the bootloader recognizes it but the phone itself thinks it's still 1.32.502.32 and on 5.0.2 not 5.1

I currently can't seem to get adb or fastboot to recognize the device on the Mac side, which I prefer working in, but the computer still asks me which side I want to connect the phone to OSX or Win7. I've tried to put the rom.zip, renamed OPJAIMG.zip, in sdcard and boot to download by holding vol down + power but it does not want to read the SDcard. I seem to currently have no recovery as well right now because I get the recovery failed text when booting into recovery.

I've had this phone as an AT&T business line purchase and it shipped about 2 weeks prior to major release date and when the stores started getting them in stock. The phone seems to be a bit more stable now but will randomly reboot upon awakening the screen...

CyanogenMod on a network-locked device

Hello.

So, recently I've had a chance to nab the I9195 model of this phone basically for free with its warranty expired, reset to stock factory settings and a network lock to the local T-Mobile (which isn't much of an issue as my SIM card is T-Mobile).

And naturally, with some experience in customizing on my previous phone (Xperia X8) I've decided to do the same on this one, starting with CyanogenMod 12.1, and possibly trying other ROMs eventually.

I've done some research and feel ready for it, but I was wondering if some problems might occur if I was to attempt the process on a network-locked phone? From the things I've read, there seem to be implications that some problems might occur, but all of this is basically old info dating back two years with no mention of it at all in recent posts. Same goes for tripping the Knox flag which seemed to be a big deal but now it isn't.

So, is it a go or no go? :)

F400S + CM13 - Can't boot recovery [TWRP] + Fastboot not working - Win10 x64

Morning All

I've been running CM13 for a while now on my F400S but was having issue with TWRP not backing up all my data. I figured that this may have been because I recently encrypted my device and I was using TWRP 2.8.70 and not 3.0.0.0.

I installed TWRP Manager and allowed it root access, told it to install 3.0.0.0 which then resulted in me getting the "Secure Booting Error! Cause: Boot certification verify" message when the device restarted.

My device still boots into CM13 and is useable, I just can't get into TWRP. I've looked at the LG Flash tool both the old and the 2014 versions, but I'd prefer not to wipe the device and rebuild it from scratch if possible. I could if needed and my most recent backup is the 20th March.

I wondered if I could use ADB and Fastboot to flash TWRP 3.0.0.0 to the device and hopefully rectify the issue. However I can't seem to get Fastboot to speak to the device.

ADB gives me:-

C:\adb>adb devices
List of devices attached
LGF400S5af0af79 device

However, Fastboot gives me:-

C:\adb>fastboot oem get_identifier_token
< waiting for device >

....and never retreives any information.

I've tried the following drivers [I'm using Windows 10 x64]:-

LGUnitedMobileDriver_S51MAN312AP22_ML_WHQL_Ver_3.1 2.3
LG-Mobile-Driver_v3.14.1

and also the driver that the LG Mobile Support Tool downloads which I believe is 3.08.

I forcefully selected the driver to use via Device Manager, rebooted but Fastboot still doesn't seem to connect to the device.

I'm not sure if I'm going about this the right way, or if anyone can suggest any alternative driver or method of resolving the issue with TWRP please?

Know the Easiest Way to Root Android

MiCROMAX Canvas Xpress 2 Gyro sensor not detectable !

Hello Everyone! Recently I bought a new Micromax Canvas Xpress 2 (E313) from flipkart.
The device is running on the stock android 5.1 and the phone is not rooted. Before actually buying the phone I had checked out the reviews of this phone and found out that it was the best I can get in this budget. Now all of the reviewers were reviewing the phone at the time when this phone had 4.4.4 android version on it and their review showed the presence of GYRO SENSOR in the phone. Looking at the great specs and the gyro sensor I bought the phone. But now on android 5.1 the gyro and gravity sensors are not getting detected. Has anyone else experienced this problem???? I am not able to use my google cardboard with it! Can someone help me fix this issue?

Resurrection Remix 5.8.9 Bugs

I am uaing resurrection remix rom, there are some bugs, startup settings force closes when i enter first and last name, other bug is, there is no incoming call notification( ringtone), means incoming calls are not showing at all, every caller is complaining me that i am not receiving their calls. :) and there is one more bug when i try to call it hangs on calling interface. I cannot disconnect the call at that moment.

Help zte z828 is bricked , i have no backup files its completely stock

My phone is either freezing on startup powered by android screen or it starts to boot then turns off and comes back on then turns off. Sometimes its just a black screen with red light. Ive never tried to root it nor have i tried to flash it. I factory reset it after it froze on me and wouldnt boot then i get this problem. Can somebody please send me a backup copy of their stock rom so that i may restore my phone please its urgent

CM Security Vault Photo Recovery

Ok. So I have a rooted galaxy tab 3 lite SM-T110 running a custom version of stock with all bloatware removed. I actually got it off of this site! Anywho, I was having issues with a image not disappearing fro Facebook Messenger photo gallery even after clearing cache and data. So I restored a nandroid backup from before this occurred. I go into my CM Security vault, and the photo i wished to look at was not there! I looked in the CM vault folder on my internal storage, and there are still encrypted files there. I tried the ages- old trick of changing the extension to .jpg and all I got was a white lock with a gray background, with the CM security logo in the lower right corner, as if to laugh at me . Is there any way to decrypt/recover the photo in question? Windows 10 PC and Android Jellybean are the available platforms I can run any kind of decryption tools on.
