Solution for getting stock SPH-D710 (Epic 4G Touch) to 4.4, no hassle.

(I'm sure there's a better place for this, but I can't seem to find it. Sorry.)

Root is obviously (or maybe not so much so) required, as you will be tampering with system files. Be aware you may brick or looplock your device, and your warranty will most likely be void. Always make a stable backup before messing with these files!

I've been perusing the web for a way to get my stock ICS S2 upgraded to 4.4, and most methods I've seen either use 'foreign' kernels, or convoluted ROM flashing..
I happily say that I've found a way to easily get your S2 to 4.4, using AGAT to start, then flashing Slimbean 4.3 from there. The download for Slimbean is only ~90MB, making it much faster and more efficient than most others. (GApps aren't needed, as you'll only be keeping Slimbean until you get the 4.4 ROM flashed) From there, just reboot into recovery, and as Slimbean runs a 4.3 recovery (CWMR 6.0.3.4) it is capable of flashing ROMs using KitKat.

Do keep in mind I'm fairly new to posting help threads, so my form may be a bit unorthodox. If you need anything explained, don't be afraid to point it out!
