Late last month, Honor took the wraps off of the Honor 9. The Honor 9 was the company's most powerful flagship handset, but that title has already been handed over to the recently announced Honor 9 Premium.
This might seem like a nonsensical move on Honor's part to already release a more powerful phone than the Honor 9, but the Premium is only a minor specification upgrade. Unlike the regular Honor 9 that tops out at 4GBs of RAM and 64GBs of internal storage, the Premium model will come with 6GBs of RAM and 128 GBs of internal storage.
As for the rest of the Honor 9 Premium's specifications, everything else is the same as what we've got on the regular Honor 9 including the Kirin 960 octa-core processor, dual 20MP and 12MP rear-facing cameras, and a 3,200 mAh battery.
The Honor 9 Premium has been unveiled in Italy and can be purchased through Tre and 3 carriers, but is also up for pre-order in Switzerland and will ship towards the end of August. Although there's currently no timeline for a release in other countries, we're expecting Honor to push the Honor 9 Premium to more areas in Europe as time goes on. If you're interested in picking up the Honor 9 Premium over the Honor 9, it'll set you back €50 more with a final price set at around €450.
