OnePlus's OxygenOS has received a number of great features since its inception, and one of those is the built-in weather app. It's never been very feature-rich compared to other weather applications, but the minimal UI and animations to match the current weather conditions have always kept me coming back to it whenever using OxygenOS on my device.
Yesterday, the company officially released this weather app onto the Google Play Store as, "OnePlus Weather." Before you get too excited, no this does not mean you can download it onto any Android device. OnePlus Weather is still limited to just OnePlus phones running OxygenOS, but the addition of the weather app onto the Play Store does mean that it'll be able to receive software updates much faster than before.
The version of the app is at 1.7.0, and the current changelog reveals that there have been bug fixes, performance and UI optimizations, and a new option to view the forecast for the next 15 days. Given sightings of the OxygenOS Launcher on the Play Store (which was pulled down), we can expect more of the company's apps being updated separately in the near future.
