This is my sec on post in regards to my dilemma and Im hoping someone can help me.
Recently I tried to upgrade my rooted Mate 8 to the latest version of twisted mate 8.
After I did a dirty wipe and installed the rom and the system rebooted, instead of rebooting into the new rom, for whatever reason it booted in the factory restore and forced me to reinstall the factory rom of the phone. Now I'm back to the original factory settings of the mate 8 in all its communist glory and its counter parts to google apps.
I tried to re-root the phone and the furthest i got was installing TWRP. But when i boot into TWRP it asks for a code to decrypt the data which i never encrypted in the first place and if i bypass that all storage units on the phone say 0 bytes, even if i transfer a new rom to the phone it won't show up in TWRP
What id like to do is something similar to a samsung phone with ODIN and just clean wipe the entire phone with a fresh Kernal and start from there to install Twisted Mate 8.
is there anyone that can help me with this? I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you
