Blueboo Picasso problem with bluetooth keyboards

Have learned a lot reading threads here at XDA, some very knowledgeable people here, thanks for sharing :)

Recently bought a BluBoo Picasso phone, it works really well & I'm very impressed with it.

When I try to use Bluetooth keyboards with the Picasso, they pair correctly but the following keys don't work (W, E, R, I, O, S, F, K, L, Z, C, V, M). When I use the keyboards with other tablets or phones they work fine.

Running the stock firmware (Android 5.1, Bluetooth V4.0), same problem exists with the original firmware, updated firmware, rooted & unrooted.

I tried them with a friend's Bluboo Picasso & the same keys did not work, we also tried a bunch of other Bluetooth Keyboards but they all had the same problem with the Bluboo Picasso.

Interestingly, I have found that getevent lists the keys that do not work as events for the touchscreen.

Why the touchscreen would be generating keycode events is a total mystery but I suspect BluBoo have done something in their firmware to consume them which is why they do not work on bluetooth keyboards.

root@BLUBOO:/ # getevent -lp /dev/input/event2
add device 1: /dev/input/event2
name: "mtk-tpd"
events: KEY_W, KEY_E, KEY_R, KEY_I, KEY_O, KEY_S, KEY_F, KEY_K, KEY_L, KEY_Z, KEY_C, KEY_V, KEY_M ...

I hope someone can help me find a solution because I've googled extensively & checked many technical forums/web sites but have not been able to figure out a way to make them work properly with the Bluboo Picasso.
